I dose, at this present time, to a system that has about 120 actual gallons of salt water, 1.1 gallons of saturated lime water each night. That is about 2.2 teaspoons of pickling lime per day. I have used as much as 1.5 gallons of saturated lime water per day, which is 3 teaspoons per day when there were several more large colonies growing in my tank. Some will use less than this, and some will need more.

It will keep you calcium and alk stable resulting in good growth but if your already dosing 2 part you won't notice much difference. I think you get better corraline growth and it also helps reduce phosphates.

+1 Many use it even with 2 part or a calcium reactor to help with pH. It all depends on what your calcium/alk needs are along with your desire for using it.

I add a minimum of 1/4 teaspoon of Kent Marine Superbuffer dKH to every 5 gallon bucket of RO/DI water. The salt I use is not buffered correctly to 1.025 so every batch of salt water is buffered as well.
I'm also using Instant Ocean Marine Stabilizer on the coral tanks that suck the alkalinity down to 7dkH or below every day. (21 inch plating monti consumes an astounding amount of resources!)

Be careful with Brightwell 2 part as 5 ml treats 30 gallons vs the 5 gallons from IO.
Seahorses do not like a 6:1 ratio change overnight. :(
