how much liverock?

I know the "at least 1 or 1 1/2 pounds per gallon" rule, but I got mine from a guy taking down his tank and didn't really know how many pounds it was. It was in a five gallon bucket about half way full with rock. How much space should the rock take up in the aquarium? I have a 24 gallon nano cube. I put the rock mostly along the back wall stacked up about a third of the way to the top, but most of the aquarium is open swimming room. However, when I look at pictures of other people's nano cubes, some seem as if the tank is almost full of rock from back to front with hardly no swimming room.

Yes, the tank is running. I just put the LR in and started it up two days ago. I'm not sure what type, but some shaped regular (you know, just a plain old live rock shape) and some is flat, like a shelf, so I was able to create bridges and good formations. And, I bought a few tonga branch (I thinks its called) and put it in with it. I really need to post some pics and then you all can tell me if it looks like enough rock. Too bad loading pictures for some reason is always like a three hour chore for me.

To me it depends on how good of filtration you will have on your tank. I personally prefer about 1 to 2 lbs per gal of water. But I also have a 55g fuge under my 150 with a good skimmer.

Mine is a mix of Tonga branch, shelf rock and Fiji

It's all in how you aquascape it. Hope to see pictures. of yours
