[30 years ago when I was doing my first salt water tanks I used one all the time. It was a DIY because no one was selling them back then. It worked great. The problem was that if something went wrong with the sterilizer everything in the tank would imediately start acting sick. If the light was not repaired very quickly it almost always resulted in at least one death. I just quit using one at all. At least 20 years since I used one.]
