Hot Glue

My wife and I are trying to catch our tang so we were going to make a trap out of a bottle. She's too fast for a net. We dont have any marine glue and super glue doesn't bond . She suggested hot glue and said it might be toxic to the fish . Does any one know if it is?
 
The hot glue is not toxic when dry however, it will not stay bonded very long in salt water and won't have a lot of strength. Are you making one like this one? http://tinyurl.com/a7j4etg

copious amounts of the original super glue gel will work, i bond live rock with it all the time...

its a buck, hobby lobby jewelry glue works as well...
