Hello everyone. I have a question to throw out to see what everyone thinks. I have a 72 bowfront, not reef ready, and I was looking for a HOB refugium/sump to put on it. I do not want to pay someone to drill the tank and risk it breaking, nor do I want a bunch of hoses running outside of the tank. (Any water running outside of the tank makes me nervous) I was looking at the Aquafuge large because I could not find any information online about what size tank each size fuge was meant for. I've seen posts lately of people having mediums on <30 gallon nanos. Anyway, the question is, is a refugium that "small" even worth the money for the benefit it will have? The medium I figured out was about 5 gallons...I would use it to increase my pod population, as well as possibly some nitrate reduction and maybe some additional live rock. Are the aquafuge series meant for smaller tanks, thus making them inadequate for mine? Would an "underrated" refugium benefit the tank much at all?
All opinions welcome,
Thanks guys!
