help withsand question

i know i have read about getting your sand bed at home depot can anyone help me with this

you can find it at HomeDepot its called Pulvarized LimeStone in a 50lb bag for about 8 bucks.

it comes in a brown bag, but make sure it's not the limestone chalk used for football fields. i would call HD's and ask if they have it available before you drive around looking for it. HTH!

Not all Home Depots carry it. I got a couple bags from the one off Campbell and Coit in Richardson. It was $5/bag.

My son used one bag and mixed it with some live sand he bought from the fijisandman on ebay. It looks fine. I am going t use the other two bags when I set up my other 125 in two weeks.

I also used this when I setup my 58G as well as for my fuge. I had about 4" in the tank and liked the look overall. For the money you can't beat it and it's arogonite based...but it's one of those you either love it or not type of things. Just remember to rinse the snot out of it or use some type of filter to help out.
