Help with lighting

Please I need help from people more knowledgable than myself. The whole issue I am dealing w/ is lighting. I currently have a Nanocube 24 g. and has the stock lighting. I have an empty 55g. that I am going to transfer everything to but I am hung up on lighting. I used to have a 75 g. salt with a 250 w MH and it did good but the heat was such an issue. I have spoken w/ people about T series lighting fixtures but the only thing people try to explain to me is the difference between the bulbs....YES I understand the difference between the diameter of the bulbs and they run cooler. The T series bulbs seem to always be a lower wattage, does it produce more lumens than PC? That seems to be the question everyone dodges. I see many lights on EBAY that are PC and do not seem expensive compared to some other types of lighting. I am wanting to have SPS corals but am unsure of what lighting to use besides MH.

Any input is appreciated,
Trent

if you want to run sps i would go with t5's and make sure you use good bulbs not the ones that come standard with the fixtures...also having individual reflectors is necessary in my opinion as you get all the light coming off the bulb that is main reason t5's can grow sps. geissmann brand are bulb manufacturer i would go with

pc bulbs is not enough light to grow sps.

Why T series? I have seen lower wattages of T-5 setups that people say will work great (like 200 w.) versus a 260W PC, I guess I need to do more reading.

more watts does not equal better light when it comes to t5's compared to pc bulbs.

More wattage of the same kind of bulb usually means brighter look, but you really can't compare wattage of one kind of light to another kind. (Apples to Oranges). Different kinds of lighting convert watts to light with different efficiency. So a t5 is more efficient at converting electricity to light than a PC or VHO bulb.
