Help with build

I am very new to the hobby. I bought a 150G tank and would like to build my own stand and canopy does anyone know where I can get some ideas/plans for this build?

I would go to reefcentral, and do a search for "tank stand", or something like that. Or you can look under the do-it-yourself forums both here and RC. Lastly, do a google search. You'll be suprised how much info is out there. After you have a few ideas, post them back here, and we'll try to help you finalize them.
Also, once you start builing it, maybe keep a photo log yourself, so you can post it here, and help others in the future.

Before you get to building... also consider your sump and equipment underneath as part of the design. Many of a stand have ended up firewood or in the sale forum because of 'I didn't think of that's'... :)
 
Im with DaveJ i had he same problem with my first tank. if you plan on putting your skimmer under there or running an external pump calcium reactor. you might think about mocking up your equipment and measure how high wide and long everthing is and start there
