Help mount a piece of Galaxia, pink star polyps, monti cap

I received a tiny peice of galaxia from a member here. I was wondering how to mount it. Do I just place the hard part on the bottom in a hole on a rock?

Also, Pink star polyps - can I just net them down to a rock and they attach?

Also, Monti cap - Do I net this down also? Not sure what to do.
Thanks!

I don't know about galaxia as I've never had it. Star polyps can be glued to the rock with Super Glue Gel, or netted in place.

Montipora capricornis needs to be mounted, and I'd use super glue gel for that as well.

I attached a piece of galaxia with a bit of marine epoxy to my live rock. The galaxia grew fine for awhile until it was overshadowed by a faster growing montipora. It wouldn't come loose so it ended up dying. So learn from my mistake - where you attach a coral matters more than how in the long run.

I don't know if you will ever read this, but

Galaxia is one of the corals that is propagated VERY successfully by Dick Perrin of Tropaquarium in Detroit. It can be epoxy'd as Chris stated, but it is a vicous stinger and should be placed in isoation! It's tentacles have been shown to stretch out to a foot, so be careful.
