I have a bristle-tail filefish in my tank that does a semi-decent job of controlling my aiptasia. However, there is some debate over whether they are truly reef-safe and mine took a couple of months to figure out aiptasia were tasty. Also they are similar to several other filefish species so be sure of what you're buying. As far as chemical treatments for aiptasia, they seem to work but are much less effective for ones that aren't growing upwards because the solution needs to settle onto the aiptasia and not float away. www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/features/the-bristletail-filefish/
