Help: dosing pumps ?

[Check out this ebay auction. Please don't buy all of them, I might need 2!!!

I want to auto dose B-Ionic A and B parts.
Question:
1. Will a dosing pump like this do what I want? I must have the 2 parts seperate when adding, do I need 2 pumps?
2. Is this a good idea to use these things?
3. Are there issues with these used pumps, and are there better brands to check out?

Any help would be appreicated. :wwww:]

[If you bought this, I would use it to dose evaporated water. How much B-Ionic can you possibly be adding each day? 1oz of each part takes about 1 minute total.

If you have a two part solution, you'd need a double dosing pump to accomplish it, and they need to go in sequence so the two chemicals don't intermix as they hit the tank.

The price isn't bad at all.]

[How many ounces is 17ml? Isn't that about half of those little cups?]

[Seems like a lot of money to spend trying to set up a doser to run one or two minutes a day. If something goes wrong, things will get pretty darn exciting in your tank and then it'll get real quiet . :uhoh:]

[I'm not familiar with this particular pump, but these are medical infusion pumps and some may require special tubing. These may not be available to just purchase off the street without a medical prescription. Mark]

[Get a calcium reactor. True, the upfront cost is high, but considering the fact that you'll hardly ever use the ESV solutions again, over time, it'll pay for itself. Once you get your bubble rate down pat, you're done baby!]

[Like many people, I myself do not only use a dosing pump for calcium. I have mine set to match evaporation perfectly.]

[How would you set this up to be a RO top off for evaporation?

Curious about using it for my 75 Gal with a 30long sump(using about 12 gals in that. I leave the tank open so getting a lot of evaporation these days. :Oo:]

[my pump has two lines, one line sits inside of a 5 gallon container of RO + Kalk and another line that sits inside of my sump. The pump takes liquid out of the 5 gallon container and drips it into my sump at whatever speed setting I choose. I have it set to where it pumps continuosly 24/7 at a slow speed that matches evaporation almost perfectly. It's nice because it is not gravity fed or have a prime bulb like some dosers, because the dose pump does all the work. I keep two 5 gallon containers on hand...one that is being used and another full of whatever to go in the original containers place. It is nice for long vacations because you can just hook it up to a large 50 gallon drum if need be.]
