Happy Friday All!

Does anybody know a good way to catch a damsel besides tearing the tank up and knocking everything over? I have a yellowtail and domino damsel I'm trying to take out of my tank to give to a friend and it's been impossible to catch either one of them. I'm ready to grab the rod and reel and fish these guys out!! [smilie=devil.gif] J/K

Thanks!

you can try putting some food in a 2ltr bottle or 3ltr with the bigger caps (rinsed and cleaned of course) and waiting till he goes inside to eat and get him that way,

it worked for me when i was trying to get a wrasse out of a 210g. but im sure someone on here has a better method.

Good idea grape4pe! I will definitely try that and see what happens. Thanks for the info :)

Anybody else?

I actually used a small hook, weight and mysis shrimp and caught my dominos that way.

**** UPDATE ****

Alright so I thought about it at work and was determined to get these damsels out so I did the following:

1. I had an empty water jug and cleaned it out
2. I cut a slit in the top and slid in my veggie clip with some green seaweed which dangled in the middle of the bottle.
3. I placed inside the tank and held still until the damsels seemed interested and swam in
4. Once in I pulled it out and success!!!

Thanks All for the suggestions I thought it was going to be impossible to get these guys out. Cheers! [smilie=rofl.gif]
