Help after a lightning strike

Hi gang!
I've got troubles. My House was struck by lightning and it blew out the bulbs on my fish tanks. (and my air conditioner, and tile, and melted the carpet amung other things, but I digress...) Does any body have a 175 watt MH screw in type bulb that they do not need. Even a used one that is not in perfect spectrum. I am waiting for the insurance adjuster to review everything and I am really not in a position to buy a new one for a couple of weeks. If someone was anticipating changing theirs out and didn't mind parting with the old ones that would be great. I am just looking for temporary solution And I would really appreciate any ideas anybody has to get some light over my tank for a week or two until the insurance can reimburse me for some of this stuff.
thanks.
Dana

Wow, sorry to hear that. I do have some 175MH SE bulbs that are used (??? how much and what color)... and if you want to make the trip to Richardson, I can help out a bit.

And if you wanna go even further to Rowlett, I haven't been able to bring myself to throw out my old 175 watt mogul based screw in bulbs either... I've got a lot of 5600K and a few 12000 kelvin that have been quite used, but still fire... (At least, they still fired when I last tried them... :)

Lemme know... If you want 'em, they're yours... You just gotta come get 'em... :)

My tank has had 10 K, but I think 10, 14 or 20 K would be fine.
I'm new to MH bulbs what is an SE bulb?
I can drive to richardson if need be

I've got a couple of XM 10,000k 175w bulbs in the garage. I only recently stumbled across them. I believe they are new.

SE means Singled Ended or Mogul. DE is double ended.

Must be nice to get a visit from the Bulb Fairy!!! Wish I would just stumble across some new MH bulbs in my garage!!! :)

Anyway, the offer still stands to the original poster if any of the other offers fall through...

Good luck on getting the other stuff fixed, I hate dealing with insurance companies!!!

It is always surprising what I find squirreled away in the garage. I dig and suddenly have a Mag pump or something.

I want to hear more about the lightning strike at some point.
