Hi there I'm wanting to try a project and wanted to see if the is a difference between t5 light with LEDs and LEDs by them self. I have all LEDs on my 115 mixed reef but I want to see if I can get more growth with putting the t5s on with them. I'm thinking I might because when I have my 75 I only had t5s on it and had crazy growth. But I don't want to go all the way back as I love the effect that the LEDs give u in the water.

But OK here the part I need help on...
Does anyone on this forum have a one or two bulb t5 fixture with or with out the light I can get that.
It would need to be between 36" to 48" long to fit.
I m only asking to borrow it for u to see if it will work and if it does then I can decide if it worth adding it to the tank or not and

I'll return it to u in the same shape as u gave it to me in.
Please let me know u can text me at 8175422224

Thank you guys so much

Adding the T5's will reduce any sort of shadowing that tends to happen with LEDs, as well as, add capabilities of hitting a wider color spectrum variety. I think if you can incorporate T5's then you def should do so! :) they're expensive and I'm not sure about any feedback, but I really like the look of the Pacific Sun units that are a sleek combo unit. If I wasn't rimless, I would def have a T5/LED combo and would add a blue+ and coral+. GL with your project, I think you'll be happy if you get it worked out!! :)

I have a Hagen glow ballast with waterproof end caps. All you need is bulbs which I have 2 old ones to give you. All you would need is reflectors and bulb holders. I can go 25$ on the ballast. I know you were wanting to borrow but 25$ to try it out isn't bad, and you could resell if you didn't like it.
Let me know
Thanks
