Heating and cooling controller ?

I am wanting to move a step up in the hobby but don't have the funds to go all out right now so was wondering what would be the easiest way to control by temp a couple heaters and a couple fans (heating and cooling). Right now I am relying on the heater setting on the heater and the fans are on timers. The fans worked very well when the outside temp was pretty stable but now the temp in the morning time is a lot cooler so the fans end up coming on way too soon.

Dont know what your budget is, but this is a good solution

Either way be sure to read reviews on both, and make a informed decision

If you are handy with elect wiring you can buy an unwired controller on ebay for about $50 and then just wire in a short 3 outlet extention cord. It is not that hard to do and it could save and extra $30 or so. I just did one and keep meaining to post in the DIY section. If you think you would be interested let me know and I can send you some links or just do a seach for DIY temp control and you will get lots of hits.

have you considered a controller. I know money is always a consideration but you can pick up some used aquarium controllers pretty cheap and have additional functionality. I see you continue to progress in your tank so it is almost a given you will get a controller at some point. Folks just sold controllers on here for 150-200 bux ....a little more dough and a LOT more functionality!

I have been thinking this way for a bit now, I like the idea of being able to monitor a few other things and even get rid of those silly $5 timers.
