Heads up on the acro you might of got from me

I was pm by a member that he found some Redbugs on a tri color vilda that he got from me. I check closly today and have comfirmed that that coral has them unkown to me.I only found them on that one, but the likelyhood is that they could be anywhere.I just wanted to give everyone heads up and hoped that you dip your frags. I have already started treatment this morning on my system. Again sorry for any incovience this my cause you. Thanks, Mark

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't see any on the ones I got from you, however I did get a few pieces from another vendor that had lots of redbugs. I did make the mistake of putting them in the main aqaurium before treating and I'm very concerned now. I took out the worst one, treated w/ iodine dip for 10-15 minutes, rinsed and repeated twice total. The redbugs are gone on that one...now just about 8 more to go. No fun.

Mark, it was extremely classy of you to give a heads up notice like that to members! Some may not have said a word at all! Truly classy and respected!!!!

Were you next to the guy selling the strawberry crabs? If so, I think I bought a green birds nest from you (small $10 frag)?

Can you confirm?

Thanks,
Gail

yes, mark was the one in that corner and he did have the 2 birdsnest, one of which you bought. i did not get any from you but i agree with everyone, very upstanding...thats what this club is all about, friendly, honest people trying to have fun and enjoy this great hobby...

Yes you did get the birdsnest, I do not believe redbugs affects them.(someone can correct me if I am wrong). I check all my colonys and did not see any on my birdsnest, but who know. I can say after treating my tank today. As of now I have none and will do a follow up next week. It was such a simple process.

You're correct and I've never seen red bugs bother anything other than a smooth skinned acropora."]

I agree... And if someone did happen to recieve some red bugs I can vouch it's not the end of the world. They're very common and are easy to treat. Thanks for being honest Mark and letting people know just in case. :D
