Hardy Tang

For those of you who have had experience with Tangs; Which do you think is the hardiest of the Tangs?

Sailfin
Purple
Blue Hippo

or another

Thanks,

Sailfin and Purple are a little hardier. They will all do well with good water parameters though.

I have a purple tang that has survived a move, ick, a power outage that killed almost all the fish and the shrimp. He is one tough fish kind of like John Wayne.

Sailfin, purple sailfin, and yellow sailfin tangs are all very hardy fish. I have a large sailfin(6+ in), yellows, and a purple which have all had ick at one time or another.

I also like powder blues(have 1) and browns. These are very difficult to maintain but I think I've been successful by feeding a well balanced diet high in macroalgae.

Another hardy tang is a Naso. I had one in Ohio and it was an awesome fish, easy to keep.

Another for consideration is a Scopas tang. Can't afford a Black tang, and a Scopas does come somewhat close with its black coloration. Ours does real well with our Achilles.
