[I started seeing this ugly unattractive green hair algae (very fine) on rocks and now getting over some zoos. Perhaps it could be phosphate problem causing this to grow. What do you suggest to treat this? Phosban? Seachem phosphate? What is the best solution?
Just wonder how often should the VHO bulbs need to be change out? My light bulbs has been running for about 8 months. Also, How often should I change out the filters in the RO/DI unit, kent marine brand?]
Water filters should be changed every 6 months, and the DI should be good for a year.
The reason you change your filters at 6 months is to protect the membrane. Chlorine will eat away at it if the carbon blocks are not replaced in a timely fashion.]
