Got my ev-180 protein skimmer - Help me set it up

[I just got an EV-180 and a Mag 7 to drive it from someone on RC. It arrived today.

Question(s): I'm not connecting any type of ozone/calc reactor to the JG fitting. Should I split the output from the Mag 7 and feed it into both fittings or close the valve on the JG connection?

I'm thinking a 1/2" nipple, coupling and barb leaving the Mag 7 connecting to an appropriate length of flexible tubing (Y fitting to split the tubing if I use both inputs on the pump.


What (if anything) should I connect to the collection cup drain? Where should I drain it into? The sump? An empty 1 gallon jug?]
 
[No, don't split the Mag7's input. Run the pump straight to the spray injection barb. Run the air valve wide open and don't hook any thing up to the Ca reactor input. For the drain you can buy an auto shut off container or build your own. You can run it into anything that won't leak but the skimmate is pretty foul. The DIY auto shut offs are nice because you don't have to worry about an overflow and you can place a small bag of activated carbon over the air exit and it will eliminate the foul odor.]
