glass baffle

Preferably not. You want 1/4" glass, not 1/8" glass. And the shop that is cutting the glass will charge extra to polish the edges, but I highly recommend it. Getting the glass cut and polished will probably cost you about $35, plus the price of silicone.

You'll make the sump saving all kinds of money, and never ever get cut working in there as the glass won't have sharp edges.

SNT,
Bath and Glass at Parker / Custer in Plano sells 1/4 glass. Like Marc said, it isn't very cheap. I priced out 10x12" 1/4" and it was $18 per. This had the edges softened to not cut.....

Did you not end up using that sump you had when I came over to pick up the SEIOs ?

I am thinking about building a new one myself as the Trigger Systems Refugium I have won't support the flow I want, without bubbles.

i am but i need maybe two more baffle. i tried movine the thress baffle that was in theer ane more it is not stright at all hahahaha. i guess i need more practice keeping them stright while applying silicone. i also think i'm gonna need help with the plumming. if anyone is willing to help that would be GREAT!.

Well, I am pretty good with PVC, so I'd be glad to help out with basic design and materials.

The parts for your 100 incl. ball valves, and gate valve for drain control shouldn't be more than $30.

That includes 2 part cement and a $10 PVC cutter.

As for the baffles, go to Home Depot and look for "corner protectors.".

They are 90 degree plastic edgeing that you put on corners of walls to keep the drywall from chipping.

looks like this http://www.dynamic-living.com/corner_guards.htm

They work excellent as guides for your baffles, and if you do it right, you can even make your baffles adjustable.

Just a thought.

I live in Mckinney and can help you out with the plumbing... I also have squares that will allow you to get the baffles 90deg angles to the tank.

great, any help would be accepted with graditude. i am planning to get it setup this weekend. would be free? i'll supply the beer and food.

i went to lowes to get my glass cut for my 30g long sump. it is perfect since it is 1/4 inch and it was like a 1.50 a piece.. super easy!!!

they sold it there

i think the sold 10x12 pieces 1/4 inch for the 2 bucks a piece and i had them just cut it a little shorter like 1/8 of an inch and just siliconed it up.. everything works perfect.
