Getting sand out of tank for moving...

[What is the best way to do this?
Will it distrub anything once moved and need to put back in?
Other then making the tank lighter is it neccessary? Stress on tank with it in?]

I would leave the sand alone if possible, just take the water down to the top of the sand, But i really depends on how big the tank is how many friends show up and is it a deep sand bed. HTH
