German blue digitata

[I was looking for these to turn bright purple - then I found out that they are supposed to be 'blue' digitata. The polyps look blue, but the stem is brown. This is another coral that doesn't get optimal lighting. Marc and Joe has some frags from this so maybe in time we'll see if this coral colors up for them.]

[Very nice! I've got 2 difrerent shades of orange, green, brown and purple digi..but have yet to find a blue.]

[Mine is orange, very orange. I'll look at the polyps, but I don't believe any are that color like yours.]

[I've seen pics of the "German Blue" and they all seem to be brownish with the blue polyps. There are several pics on frags.org that you might check out.

Fish Gallery had a piece a couple of months ago. It was definately a different looking Monti. All the Monitpora digitata I've ever had where the same color including the polyps (excluding tips).

I'm curious to see how yours grows out.]
