GBTA Spawning

Well I just got this GBTA from Ashlar yesterday and tonight it seems to be spawning. Is that good or bad? My other question is will it hurt the water? I am running carbon already but do I need to do a water change?
Thanks,
Alan

Here are a couple of pic's of it. It is also kind of making my Seabae anemone act funny. Of course my camara isn't very good so you can't see what is coming out of it.

Hrmm.. if it is spawning, then I'd consider a water change.. 10-15% to start.

BTAs will expel their zoanthellae if they're truly unhappy. If it's a wispy brown liquid, that's likely what it is.

How close is it to the sebae? Anything else in your tank looking different? Could be some chemical warfare going on if they're too close.

They were both fine when I left for work this morning. I don't think it was expelling the zoanthellae's. It looked like it was smoking. It was a white almost clear discharge. The sebae is at least 1 ft away and down on the sand.
I just did a water change and used all of the water I had made so I will make some more and do a 10% change this afternoon.

Ashlar,
I have a :?: for you about this guy. How long where his tenticals in your tank? The reason ask it they have to be every bit of 8" long now. This thing is HUGE. :D I think my perks are afraid of it. They went in it when it was smaller but I haven't seen them even look at it now it is fully open. I think it intimidats them.
