Garden eel

You need extemely deep sand beds to have a chance at keeping them. Something like at least 9 inches

The other problem is that you have to have enough small particulate food drifting past them to keep them fed. Some have had luck training their eels to eat prepared food, others not so much. (Their normal behavior is to wave in a steady current and eat food that drifts past.)

I have tried keeping several at a time with a really deep sand bed, they are very shy and easily scared back into their burrow. They have always seems to slowly die off one at a time. Defiantly not an easy species to keep.
