funny looking clown

i found a clown at one of my lfs with an incomplete center stripe. is this a different species or just some biological glitch??? i really like him and i am thinking of getting him but it is it a diff species, will he pair with the ocellaris i have now???

I've got two that have incomplete center stripes. It's a "biological glitch" as you call it. Same as the picasso clowns that used to be thrown out. Now they are worth more money. Funny how we will pay more for something that is a mutant :?

My two came from Andy in Richardson back when he was raising the fry.
 
Tank bred / raised frequently have incomplete markings.

Breeders have begun to add astaxanthin to avoid this.
 
i found something on liveaquaria and they called it a misbarred clown. still the same thing? and can it pair with my ocellaris
