I have not attempted this method yet, but have discussed wth a number of other breeders who are quite pleased with the result.

Would be an excellent method if someone has eggs they do not plan to harvest / raise, sooooo ... if anyone finds themselves in this position, please contact me and I would be very interesed in collecting the eggs and attempting this method.

I was interested in trying this out too, but I never found a suitable funnel. I'm definitely interested in hearing how it goes for you. Good luck!

The funnels are pretty expensive in the size he recommends -- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002RS5H92/ref=biss_dp_t_asn

It's the two links Frank had in his first post. The idea is if you are wanting to collect clownfish eggs from someone else's tank and they are laid on substrate that can't be removed, you use a drinking straw with the tip cut at an angle to gently scrape the eggs off. Then use a large glass funnel as an egg tumbler for artificial incubation.
