Any idea why an otherwise healthy Fungia plate would spontaneously develop a second mouth? I've heard of plates throwing off babies, but it sure doesn't look to be the case here. The second mouth is slightly off-axis from the first mouth, too - another odd feature. I am 100% sure that these mouths are separated. I can put a piece of food on one side and one mouth will flare up and engulf it, then put another piece of food on the other side and the second mouth will extend to feed. I love the luminescence on this guy, and as I said it is extremely healthy, so I would be loath to take a dremel to it to try and split it. Any ideas on what's going on here?
