from one tank to another

Just finished moving all my fish, snails, crabs, and shrimp from my 55 to my 125 and now my 2 yellow tangs are fighting and all 4 of my clowns are fighting and just noticed that my spotted goby and mandarin goby dont like each other much what do I do now will they settle down or is there going to be a death of something they were all fine before.

I would presume they are fighting because their trying to claim new territory's and etc. This could lead to death depending on how dominant the fish are and their health. IMO 4 clowns in a 125 there's going to be lots of aggresion from now on... :?

3 of the clowns have been together since right after I started the salt water hobby and then this cinnamon clown was the only 1 new and we even bought him his own anemone adn the other 3 have theirs and all host it together which I thought was kinda cool but anyways what do I do about the 2 yellow tangs have moved rocks, have fed nothing seems to be working

Wendy,

You should add a 3 yellow tang at once and they will get confused who they are fighting. If you just do 2, then the dominant will continue to chase the weak one. Don't feel bad, just add another tang like I did :D

I think the tang aggression might subside after a couple of days, but I would keep an eye on them and make a change later if need be.

ok thanks all they all have seem to settle down, except for the 2 tangs just a bit worried about them, just want to make sure that they are gonna kill each other.

I once had a rabbitfish, yellow, convict together with no problems...then later i had a yellow, purple and a rabbitfish...no problems...and now I have a sailfin and a yellow together no problems...but you definatelly know who is the boss!

btw - convict died and is why i purshased the purple...when i moved i lost just about everything...so is why i got my second set of tangs.

ok this is now weird these 2 fish are like best friends now and hubby thinks that 1 might be a male and the other a female how would one know if that is the case, cause now where you see 1 the other is right there really close

Try to hang bits of nori in there every so often, with there tummies full, they might not fight as much. Dipped in garlic would help them out

If one is female she will be slightly larger and more aggressive. Just watch them for a while and you should be able to tell.

With the rock work... do you have alot of hiding spaces for them to move in and out if they should start getting aggresive toward each other?

Here is a pic of some of my tangs all together... I attribute them getting along to gether due to lots of hiding spaces and feeding them more then just once a day.

well looks like I have a male and a female and she is more aggressive than he is but they seem to have settled down alot now there are tons of hiding spaces for them in the tank
