Free zoa rock from Petco

So my local Petco lost all their saltwater guys and the systems where just going downhill fast. Well they finally hired back one of them and by that time they had lost all their coral. Well when he was fixing up one system he found a rock covered in zoa's that was hidden under other rocks so it was getting no light at all. The zoa's where alive but totally lost all color. He just gave them to me for free since he had already marked all corals and dead so now I have some mystery zoa's, lol. I'm just interested in seeing what colors they end up. The rock has about 20 heads.

Yea, just give them some good lighting and water qaulity and they will color up again. I got some browned out zoas turn bright pink after three months .

Yeah man petco in Sherman is a joke I don't like getting anything from there. I am growing some pretty killer corals Ricky. Sorry if I creep ya out haha I just know who you are from your business.

Haha, na, I'm not creeped out. I was wondering if any Sherman people where on here or not. If you have frags let me know. My tank is fairly new and I'm just in the process of filling it with tons of frags right now. I'll get some good pics of my setup on soon.

Ill take this as my opportunity to let ypu know the wonders and magic of dipping your corals before you put them in your tank. CoralRX is some good stuff.

Yea I need to stop living dangerously and start dipping. Most of my frags have come from Dallas North Aquarium or Coralfanatics.com so I feel overly safe and probably shouldn't.

Alot of lfs do not dip or qt there corals couple of my friends worked at couple fish stores and told me they just put the corals right into the tanks. Some lfs might qt and dip. But you really should assume that they dont dip or qt

What is the best method for dipping corals? I'll also be constructing more in my animal room, which is becoming a reef room over the next year, and I plan on doing a QT tank and a frag tank.

Coral revive or coral rx is what most people use to dip their corals
