Sound too good to be true? Well, yeah, sort of. "Free" is in quotes because this deal comes with three little strings attached. After 40-something years of fishkeeping, I'll be getting away from the hobby for awhile. So I'm letting my fish tank go. It's a 175 glass bowfront with glass lids, a custom black stand and canopy. Comes with white sand, live rock and 3 LED light strips. Here's the catch. I need a home for my two critters: a lovely 8"-ish Queen Angel (about 7 years old) and an ancient (20+ years old) Purple Tang. So the "winner" of the "free" tank is the person who a) wants it, b) I feel will provide a good home for the fish, and c) is willing to comply with the following:Caveat #2. I don't want any catastrophes while moving the tank out of my house, so professional moving service such as provided by Fish Gallery or Dallas North Aquarium is required. This this is dang heavy, and there are a few steps to navigate, so having a pro do it is a prerequisite. And that's it. All the strings. I live just east of White Rock Lake near the East Dallas / Garland boarder. Please provide a nice home, and do a better job cleaning it than I've done for the last couple of years. Also, I plan on parting out the equipment in the dry goods forum. Or if you want all the gear too, it's yours for $625. Includes everything pictured plus boxload of plumbing parts, including:
- Artica Chiller
- Sump
- AquaMaxx Skimmer
- top-off system
- AquamMaxx fluidized sand filter (I have a brand new bag of sand for it too)
- EcoTech Vectra M1 pump for overflows
- a small Iwaki pump that powers the fluidized sand filter and the chiller
- two (2) EcoTech MP40 circulating pumps with controllers and battery backup
