Food grade barrels

I've found that "food grade" or "potable water" tanks can impart a plastic taste to RODI. I don't know if this is bad, but it might be. HDPE or LDPE is a sure bet, but it's more $$$.
 
That maybe true. But with all the waste and chemicals we add to our tanks can the fish really taste the difference....i mean compared to Brute trashcans :lol:
