The new owner of floatswitches.net attended MACNA last week, and told me that he was going to be adding all the parts we DIYers need to build our own auto top off system. In the past, I'ver referred people to this site to buy the float switches, but he's going to carry relays, snail proof switch protectors, images and even the plans so you can build your own.

He even has some type of wierd moldable float switch bracket that I've never heard of. If you are thinking about putting together an auto top off system in the future, check out this site. :)

does he have a low water flot switch? Seems everybody just has top off switches, I'm looking for a heavy duty one to shut off pump at low level.

Dukecola,
Most of 'em that I've messed with can be reversed to work the way you're wanting (Where power is allowed to flow UNLESS the water level drops too low). I know the Ultra Life's are capable of doing this, but I wouldn't recommend one of those to my mother-in-law. (Back to back failures of Ultralife's with 30 gallons + being spilled each time kinda soured me on that brand)
You just remove the "stop" keeping the floaty part on the switch, take it off, flip it over 180 degrees, and put it back together.

E-mail the people at Autotopoff.com

sales@autotopoff.com

And ask 'em if their's are reversible. They're good for up to 600 watts...
I'm pretty sure they are reversible, but I couldn't confirm that on their site in a quick browse...

(Not trying to hijack the thread away from floatswitches.net, I'm sure their's are quality products as well, and you can check with them about reversible of their switches, but I've dealt with the autotopoff.com ones and haven't with the floatswitches.net ones)
