Fish that eats grape caulerpa?

I had a two-barred rabbit fish for a few years that ate a grape caulerpa explosion in my display tank and kept it "away". He was a model citizen for three years, and then decided he liked Kenya Tree, Daisy Alvapora and then zoanthids. So he had to find a new home.

And the caulerpa is back. Current fish are:
Small sailfin tang
3 chromis
mono
target mandarin
2 ocellaris clownfish

and I have 2 clams, so no mantle nippers can come live with me, either.

I don't like bullies in my tank and am reluctant to get another type of tang.

I'm thinking a small foxface - which could also grow to like zoas or nip at other corals. So I'm asking for experiences with that and other possible grape loving fish.

i saw this and so thought you macro was eating your fish, i was a little worried, ive seen chaeto do it, but now calerpa as well, oh my!

I have a Scribble Rabbit fish that when some of the grape caulerpa gets into the display tank he goes after it quickly, and he has been a model citizen the fish and corals. I had a foxface that I had to get rid of after he was threatening to death all new fish added to the tank after him.

lol, I thought the same thing as Wes, your caulerpa ate one of your fish. My bicolor foxface seems to like eating acans :? I moved the acans to the other tank, which has a tiny 2 bar foxface. Hopefully it'll be fine. For caulerpa eaters, kole tangs aren't much of a bully tang.

Eww - that picture is yucky. I dunno how you thought that my caulerpa was eating my fish, but I edited the first post...not sure if it's any better :)

I like Kole tangs - hadn't read about them liking the grape though. I guess one issue with the grape-eating fish - if they'll eat that, they aren't too picky!!!
