Fish ID Please.

Here are two more pictures to help. It was bought as a assorted Tang. Can you tell me what it is ?
 
Its a mimic tang. They mimic the schools of fish that the grow up around. You'll often see mimic tangs looking like eblii angels but this one looks like its trying to look like a flag fin angel. It will probably grow up to be a mustard yellow color.

Mimic tang it is. Here it is in the tank & very happy. Swam right up to the groop & is still with them now. I guess he wil change colors on me then ?

Here is another tang can you tell me what it is also. We just call it the ugly guy.
 
Wow that's alot of fish you have in QT there. Great corals too. . .er. . wait. . that is QT, right. .? :shock:

No I dont QT. I pick the best fish I can & if they dont look well or act right I pass.
 
That's okay I don't even have any fish anymore :? . Everyone just says QT so that's what I thought everyone did, heh. It looks happy!
 
the ugly guy is a juv. vlamingi, or at least something of the naso genus. What size tank do you have? The reason I ask is these guys outgrow the majority of tanks people have.
 
Jag how long have you had SW ? When will your 70g be up & runing ? I thought you already had your rock in it. I have my pony tank all decked out & its looking good I think. I have all the corals from the old pony tank moved in & I am happy with it.

I have been told to use a QT a few times but I have never done it. It might bite me in the butt one day but it hasnt so far & its been years.

He is in a 240g tank so he should be good to go. I only have 10 or so fish in it & they arnt very big. The foxface is the biggest & he is only 5 inches. He is a orange color some of the time.
