Fish id link needed

[SCOTT42]

Im looking for any type of link that I can look up some of my fish on and do a little more reserch on them. Is there any place like that out there? If so could someone hook me up please.

[the floor guy]

u could look them up on sites that sell livestock like saltwaterfish.com

Ive all ready tried that, as most of them only list what they have in stock, and not what I allready have. I was thinking that there might be a place dedicated to something like a encyclapidia on reef fish.

For ID? Fishbase.org .. Steve's been putting together a database of fish at http://reefchat.org/Forums/tabid/264/view/topics/forumid/35/Default.aspx

On Fishbase it is an on going process. Currently (as of 10/07) they have 30100 Species, 262300 Common names, 45000 Pictures, 40600 References, and 1500 Collaborators.

While it would be fool hardy to think that RCDO could replace or even compete with FishBase, I did believe that I could start a small index. I have started collecting picture and a few folks from here have even graciously helped out.

Originally it was in a wiki format and I changed it to just be forum entries. (Selfish reasons)

Anyway I would like to once again ask if anyone has pictures of any of the species listed on RCDO please feel free to post them
