First 29 gal saltwater

[i posted on reefcentral, but wanted to get opinions of locals.

hi everyone, i just finished setting up my first 29 gal saltwater tank. the tank has been running for about 1 month anda half now, and the parameters have stabalized for about 2 weeks.

ammonia-o ppm
nitrite-0 ppm
nitrate-10 ppm
ph-8.1 (a bit low, but i'll try to bring it up w/ the next w.c.)

i did not check for calcium or phosphate yet, because i don't think the readings would be too accurate.

FLOW:
as of now, i have a close loop running on a mag 7 and a scwd to keep the water flowing. on the bottom, i have a 20 gal sump/refugium with lots of macro. the skimmer is in the sump and its a jebo bak pak( producing lots of skimmate). the return pump is a rio 1700. is this sufficient flow for a tank that's going to be lps and soft coral dominated, or should i add a maxijet in there?

Light:
i have a 65 watt attinic pc light running (powered by smartlight ballast), and 2 75 watt vhos (powered by sunseeker ballast). the vhos are 50/50 and 10 k. i have the lights running for about 8-10 hours a day as i really don't have much in the tank except a couple of red shrooms and brown polyp, which seem to open up quite nicely.

Progress:
Lately, i've been noticing alot of pods on the glass, and larger ones crawing around in the fuge and rock work. i also see alot of worms, that i assume are bristles, but i'm not very sure. the tank had just finished it's brown algea bloom, and the green algea seems to be kicking in. what's next to come?

In tank:
i have about 40 lbs of base and 10 lbs of lr. is this enough to seed the base rock, or should i add some more lr. there's about a 2-3 inch deep sandbed in the tank, and 4" in the fuge. i haven't noticed any worms other than these brown ones, but there's alot of pods. as far as coral goes, i have a couple of red shrooms and a colony of brown polyps. i'm thinking of adding a electric mouth scallob, and some snails soon. oh yeah, i have 1 snail in there, not sure what kind though, got him for a dollar.

live stock:
well, i don't have any live stock yet, but i'm planning on getting a lawn mower blenny, a fire fish, 1 percula clown, and other soft and lps corals down the line.

thanks guys for reading up to this point, any criticism and advice will be helpful. thanks everyone.

ps: sorry if i left out any info.

[You are off to a good start. You need to take your time now, and let it mature quietly, since you have only 10lbs of real filtration in the tank.

I had a 29g for years, but I bought every pound of LR I could fit in there. It has 75lbs of LR for a long time.

Lights are fine. I'm not a fan of any Rio pumps, but the 1700 doesn't have the reputation that the 2100 and 2500 have (nuking the tank when they break, spilling their guts into the water).

Scallops have a very poor success rate of survivability. They are gorgeous, and I was able to keep one alive in my refugium for 6 months, feeding live phytoplankton every other day to the system.

Do you have a protein skimmer?]

[30 days, at least. You simply do not have enough natural filtration to support the livestock. If that was all LR, I might be less cautious.]
