Filtration options

I'm looking for suggestions on best filtration options for 35 gallon cube. The stand is too small for a sump, so I was thinking a hob refugium. Right now there is a hot canister just to helpnwithnthe water movement. Any suggestions would be great.

Depending on your desired bio-load for the tank, I wouldn't be comfortable with ONLY a HOB refugium based on my current experience with the two CPRs that I have now.

The shipped pumps are pretty low flow. I found cyano clinging to my chaeto tonight on the 65 gallon Aqueon tonight.
I'd much rather see that stuff in the refugium instead of the display, but seeing it at all says things are not very "clean".

At the very minimum I would think the versions with a skimmer would be important.

Saw this on a friends 55 and impressed me enough I ordered a in sump for mine. http://www.affordableaquaticsuppliesllc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=376&zenid=kmi8lf34nnlts9kugib2lm3245
