I recently bought a Kent marine RO/DI unit used off of here. When I got it my tap water reading was 380, after RO reading was 12, after DI the TDS reading was 4. I bought all new filters from Filterguys and the my readings are 12+. It is a three stage RO system with a filterguys DI canister.
Q: Does it take a little while for all filters to become saturated and lower the TDS?
Next I have a 8 bulb T5 setup for lighting on a 110 tall. My water is evaporating very fast. Every couple of days I have to put around 3-4 gallons of water in the tank so my return pump wont cavitate.
Q: What is the recommended height for your lighting above your tank?
