FIji Leather **New pics, Before & After**

My fiji Leather just doestn't open up as much anymore. The polops don't open up like they use to, they use to be big, and you could tell they were polops, and the coral itself use to be be bigger. Any suggestions on what to do?

How's your Ca, Alk and Mag levels doing!

They're fine, just had water tested, maybe it needs more flow?

It does need high flow and pretty high light. That being said, mine does that every time I have gone too long without a water change. After I do a water change it takes a couple of days to open back up.

yeah mine is the same way....and its what it gets use to as well....i usually change water 3 times a month..in my nano...and if i miss my schedule it closes.....water change and with in hours is huge again...

Yellow leathers can be very finicky at times. It looks healthy to me. I'd leave it alone and it should be fine.

That pagoada is pretty close. Have you seen any extended polyps at night getting close to the leather?

no, it doesn't come close to touching it

How long has it been like that? It looks clean so I think you've got plenty of flow going over it. Any fish harrassing or nipping at it?

it's been like that for 2-3 months now, havn't seen anyone nipping at it , maybe it will do better when I get a MH.
