Feeding angels

Years ago I learned (?) that angelfish need sponge in their diet so I've always included Angel Formula frozen cubes since it contains sponge. Currently I have one angel (coral beauty) but I now feed a variety of stuff, so I'm wondering if others have knowledge or experiences regarding the extent of the sponge requirement.
Any comments?

Feeding food prepared for angels is wise. Does your tank have any sponge that it can eat during the course of each day?

There's a little gray encrusting sponge, about a few square inches, but I haven't seen him pick at it. I'll just work the Angel Formula into whatever else I feed. My main frozen food is your blended Asian market recipe, and when I made it I threw in a half package of AF as well as some other cubes I had in the freezer, but there wouldn't be much sponge in the final mix.

Thanks Marc.

Why not offer the special angel food three times a week in conjunction with your normal foods? That will provide for its dietary needs.

That's pretty much what I've been doing, but not because I knew it's good enough. I'll go with that, thanks Marc.
