feather dusters

We bought some rock that has been in some one else's tank. It has a ton on feather dusters on it. I love feather dusters but it kind of looks like a crazy weed going all over the rock. Is this a good thing or should we clean some off the rock? Also it has the biggest aptaisia I have ever seen!
 
Put it in a 10 gallon with a dozen peppermints muwahahahaha!.

But, in all seriousness, I got a rock like that a while back. It doesn't bother anything. Since I got my peppermints I've noticed some of the little featherdusters missing. Just iradicate the aptasia before you throw it in. If you have peps, they shuld keep the duster population under control (if you happen to get one that eats little dusters).

At one point, my tank looked like a ghost town with those things everywhere. But later something took a liking to them and you only see them sporadically now.
