My feather duster lost it's head. I am wondering will it grow back or can I just leave the tube where it is?

Watch it closely, make sure nobody's picking at it. If the worm leaves it's tube then that would be it's last ditch effort to survive. I remember hearing or reading that losing it's crown is somehow related to their reproduction cycle, but not sure how correct that is.

Cheers,

Mine has lost it's crown twice, and both times it has grown back. This usually happens when I am doing a water change and forget to scare it into it's tube before adding the water. I have 6 different ones, but this one is in a spot stuck to a rock and I do now want to move it for fear of breaking it's home( tube). One of these days I will get around to adding some pics of our tank. :!:

I did find the top after a water change. maybe tha tis the problem. I didnot scare it back.
