I have way to many feather dusters, they are taking over my rocks and just growing everywhere. How do I controll these little guys. Thanks for any information.

If you really want to decrease their numbers, I know that a copperband butterfly will chow down on them. That being said, any particular reason you want to get rid of them?

They are just becoming unsightly with their tubes growing several inches all over the rocks.

You can have all of them, they are wrapping themselves around the stems of my zoas and button polyps.

Now THAT is unusual! I've had GSP and plate coralline cover Zoas, which sucked, but Iv'e never had more than afew small feather dusters. Those that I've had never seemed to grow much. Do you ahve any pix? What type are they? (like, white tube with red crowns? Grey with white?)

i can confirm that one will demolish the feather dusters. I bought a copperband for that reason and he did a good job of doing that. After a while I did not like the look of all the featherdusters either. Cool at first but got old and had to do something about them.

I cant catch my Copperband Butterfly but he is available for rock cleaning by appt! Just bring me medium sized rocks and he will eliminate aptasia and feather dusters in a day or so. No fuss no muss. This guy is a champ and I think he would appreciate the meal!
