fastest way to get a quote for a planet aquariums tank?

I am thinking of ordering a tank from glasscages.com, but need to order basically now in order to get it put on jan 13th truck to dallas. I emailed a few people for planet aquarium tanks last night and haven't had any responses. Anyone know the fastest way? I have to decide within a couple hours

I got quotes from Glass Cages and Planet Aquarium, before going with Planet. The Glass Cages quote was only about 10% less, and Planet was willing to let come see it being built and deliver to my house. I went with Planet. Being that you live right near them, I would think it would be a slam dunk. For a quote, Yuki at Aquarium Boutique is near you and a Planet dealer. If you go in or call, make sure you are talking to Yuki (and not the older guy).

dont order from glass cages. The difference in quality between planet and GC is like comparing a Mercedes to a Yugo.

i resisted placing my order in time for glasscages, itll be months until they are back in dallas so thats pretty much officially off the table now. Talking to dvups1 on here who a few people referred me to as well as Yuki who is awaiting response from planet aquarium. We shall see! I have about 4 grand in equipment sitting here needing a tank so I am very anxious...

Yuki should take care of you. For me one the quote was done I jut felt directly with Armando. He can customize it any way you want. My only regret was overflow design. I got corner overflows but the teeth were cut horizontally. I like them vertically better. Plus you can go by the shop and take pictures.

I had planet just drill holes for me and I installed a glassholes overflow. It was a cheap way to get a very unobtrusive overflow. I cant stand internal overflows because they disrupt the water flow of the tank and take up valuable space.

got my quote back, and lets just say I am pretty surprised at how reasonable. It's basically same price as the glasscages tank with shipping but i will of course have to add tax added to it. Overall, 8% difference. Not bad at all.

48"L x 30"w x 24"H with pvc bottom, back center overflow, 2 braces. They asked if I wanted to do a eurobrace, any suggestions?

If I were you I would go with a corner overflow or even dual corner overflows. I have a 120 with a center overflow and it is right in the way and takes up valuable space. Most people never use the corner space in their tanks anyways. Also, it is a pain to clean the center overflow and trying to get a fish out of it is almost impossible.

I would go external overflow looks so much better

Here is my tank 48L 30 W 24 T external overflow and stepped eurobraced mine is made by David Varela

I talked to yuki last night. He is a good guy and markups not much. You will enjoy the tank. He is a good LFS too.

Oops, forgot about this thread. I talked to Dave but had already bought a new tank. Ordered the planet aquariums build through yuki. Have 4 X Ai leds, 2 X tune 6105s, Neptune apex, avast cs1 skimmer, and all kinds of other goodies sitting here waiting on something to fill with water!
