M Matthew_sample Oct 16, 2013 #3 In my opinion .... I like a sand bed ... With plenty of rubble ( small broken dead coral and/or live rock ) to cover the sand bed ... I find it works good for pods .... Algae over it ... I have seen people with actual live rock but their sumps were a lot larger ..
