EUROREEF SKIMMER

You'd need to get one that hangs off the back of your tank. What size tank do you have?
 
If it's an in sump skimmer model, not an RC, you can't use it without a sump. Good reason to look into installing a sump.
 
I agree with the others that you should use a sump or sump/fuge but you can use it if you set up an overflow box with U tube, rubbermaid tub to put the skimmer in and a return pump... poor mans sump :). There was a recent DIY Sump posting on one of the forums but I am sure if you google it you will find it...
