ETSS 600 skimmer

What are you guys feelings about this skimmer? I just got one in a trade. I think we can figure out how to hook it up and all but Ive heard a lot of them are not water tight which causes a problem when its external. Anyone had this problem? Anyone currently running one external?

I have had one running externally for about 8 months so far with no problems. Seems to be a great skimmer but I have nothing to compare it to since it is my first.
