I just put one of these in my sump and am running it withe a mag 12...It is skimming out about 1 gal per day for 2 days now... is that normal? It is a 150 gal tank not stocked full.
Is it new? They tend to go a little crazy for a few days while they break in. I would still adjust it a little. If the skimmate is a dark green you are where you want it to be, if it is milky it is skimming too wet.
Go to the ETSS web site and read about adjusting the skimmer. I think it is a becket skimmer and you should have a valve to adjust the air into the venturi and a valve to adjust the fluid level in the skimmer.
Thanks.. I went to the web and got the manual for it...I will see if I can get it working tonight... I think the water level in the sump may be too high. I am going to raise it a bit.
