Equipment Upgrade Suggestions

I am on a budget, so I do minor upgrades a money allows.

My current set up is a 72g bow front.
It has 4X 48" VHO's on it currently.
I built the sump from a couple of leaking tanks I had.
I have an ATO on it.
1 MP40 and the return are my only flow inside the tank.

I will have some money in the next few months to do a few upgrades.

I am in the planning stages of converting to LED lighting exclusively.
This will be the first thing I do. I am not happy with the current lighting and color temp I have.

I am also considering putting in a few reactors. Any suggestions on which and why?

I am looking to spend an arm and leg here, just slowly add what I can.

Any suggestions on a course of action?
What would be a good evolution of upgrades?

Thanks

do you have a controller? anything to automatically control temp? a good skimmer? how do you dose or keep up with calc/alk? i would look into these things before new lights unless you are wanting brighter lights for some specific reason.

I do not have a controller.
I do have a Ranco controller for a fan(summer) and heater(winter).
ATM I have a so/so skimmer. But this will be upgraded at the same time as the lights. Building a light for a friend in exchange for an Avast CS1 cone skimmer.
I dose with BRS 2 part.

The lights are for more control of color temp than brightness at the moment, but would like to be able to move to SPS if I choose to eventually.

Thanks for the reply.

Other than the doser, where would a controller help me?
I try and keep my levels under control with water changes and dosing.
I was thinking getting GFO and biopellet reactors would benefit me more than the controller at the moment. Am I wrong in this way of thinking?

My equipment right now is basic.

Just want to get the most bang for the buck.
Eventually a controller is on the list, so may as well ask. Which is the best basic one? And how would I utilize it best with what I have?

Thanks again!

The controller would help with the ease of controlling dosing pumps, lighting, and auto top off plus many other things also. If it were me i would get the skimmer going then get the reactors going. the rest of the stuff like dosing you can handle by hand for the time being but i would have to say my apex has made my life so much easier.
