Emrald crab - New baby

[It looks as though the smaller of the two emrald carbs I have has hatched a baby. I noticed him this eve and the mother allowing the baby to hide under her.

Now I understand why she was hiding in the small crevace for the past few days.

Who else has had this happen and is there anything special I need to do? It appears they are doing fine with out my help but want to do what I can....]
 
[I thought they had eggs like shrimp... It had a single baby crab??]
 
[Yes Marc.... it is a single crab. I did not think it was that unsaul ... not sure why I thought that.

I checked on him (baby) today and he seems to be staying in a small indent in one of the rock. Noticed him eating some brine shrimp also.]

[Yes.... it is hard to tell. I took the picture and it is hard for me also.

I will try to get a better pic if I can catch them together. I have not seen her with the baby the last day or so.... I am thinking maybe she has cut him loose and he is now on his own now. Not sure when this happens in the progression and have not been able to find much info on the net.]
